Commercial enquiries

NBIS can provide an environmental search of any area in Norfolk for planning purposes.  It supplies the information as a list, normally by Species of Conservation Concern

A charge of £100 per enquiry is made to cover the first hour of work, and £50 for each subsequent hour.  The daily rate of £250 covers more complex GIS project work.

Due to a number of factors, the data is not totally comprehensive so we always advise that clients satisfy themselves of what is present (especially for protected and rare species) through further competent field survey work before any development commences.  Data can on request contain information on locations and citations relating to the following designations: SSSIs (no citations, please contact Natural England for further information other than locations), County Wildlife Sites (CWS), Roadside Nature Reserves (RNRs) and Regionally Important Geological and Geomorphological Sites (RIGS).

Other enquiries

Research, conservation and non-commercial enquiries are usually answered free of charge.  Please email us at nbis@norfolk.gov.uk or through the details on our Contact Us page.
